The Capital Region’s official kick-off to spring. This free, 2-day event, rooted in the city’s rich Dutch heritage, is Albany’s crown jewel; showcasing historical Washington Park and its 180,000 tulips at their peak. Featuring an array of food and craft vendors, specialty zones, live music, and entertainment, this cherished festival continues to be an annual tradition for families from far and wide!
Volunteer opportunities:
Road Marshall: Provide Traffic and Parking Control for Artists, Vendors, and entertainment groups
(10 am-2 pm) and (2 pm-6 pm)
Information Booth: Assisting in Dispensing Festival Brochures, Maps, and Other Albany City Information
(10 am- 12 pm) (12 pm-2 pm) (2 pm-4 pm) (4 pm- 6 pm)
Flyer Handout: Distributes Tulip Festival informational pamphlets
(12 pm- 2 pm) and (2 pm- 4 pm)
Vendor check-in: Direct all vendors during the load-in period making sure there are no blockages or hold-ups
(6 am- 9 am)
Band Merchandise: This Volunteer will be selling the merchandise of the bands that are performing for Tulip Festival
(11 am- 2 pm) and (2 pm- 6 pm)
