Description

Project:

The Salvation Army of Saratoga Springs Soup Kitchen is the only organization that consistently provides breakfast to the homeless population of Saratoga Springs. Every weekday morning, we offer a hot, nutritious breakfast and additional cold and grab-and-go options. The breakfast program also includes showers, laundry, clothing, and connection to wrap-around services through case management.

Tasks:

  • Assist with set-up for our breakfast service.
  • Serve breakfast and coffee to our clients.
  • Help meet the food-related needs of our clients during our breakfast service.
  • Assist in cleanup after our service has ended.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Even temperament and ability to work well with clients.
  • Ability to uphold sanitation standards when handling food.
  • Good time management and reliable transportation.

Schedule:

8:00 am to 10:00 am Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed for each day. Volunteer may sign up for a single day, or on a reoccurring schedule.
