Description

We have an exciting opportunity to volunteer with the ROTO Foundation, Inc. and the Black Theater Troupe of Upstate New York! Volunteers have the opportunity to learn about theater and work backstage under the direction of the director, Jean-Remy Monnay. There will also be acting classes/workshops for those that are interested. The ROTO Foundation's goal in collaborating with the Black Theater Troupe of Upstate New York is to provide disadvantaged people with an opportunity to have an escape from the harsh realities by experiencing entertainment through acting. Upon completion of all classes, workshops, and/or theatrical performances, the ROTO Foundation will have a designated representative conduct various sorts of outreach in the area of the class/workshop/performance. The locations will either be at 405 Quail Street in Albany NY or at Siena College. Jean-Remy Monnay will inform volunteers of which location they are to check in at prior to each engagement.
