Grow Amsterdam NY is hosting our 1st Pumpkin Smash where pumpkins will be diverted from the landfill and composted. The compost will be used in the 78 Wall Street community garden. Participants can Smash pumpkins, or drop them off. There will be cider and donuts for sale and face painting.
Grow Amsterdam needs volunteers to run the different stations, help haul and weigh smashed pumpkins and greet visitors. The time commitment is 5 hours from Noon til 5pm.
