Caregiver

Caregiving volunteers help the staff provide direct resident care. No experience is necessary and training/shadowing is provided. There will ALWAYS be a staff person present with whom you'll work. Activities may include sitting at a resident's bedside and visiting, interacting with a resident's family, friends, and caregivers, light cooking, helping to feed a resident or refreshing their snacks/beverages, helping give the resident a bed bath, with toileting, or helping to change a resident's soiled clothes, 'attends', and bed linens, and organizing a resident's belongings. Volunteers also provide light housekeeping, stocking/inventory, laundry, and office support as needed. Volunteers must be 18 years of age, be able to stand, walk, navigate stairs, and carry 20 lbs.
