What is Mechanicville Area Community Services Center (MACSC)?
Our Mission Statement reflects our commitment to “Improve the lives of area residents through family support, empowerment, recreation and education." Our goal is to promote healthy relationships between families and the community at large. MACSC is not only a community center, but a true center for the community.
Project Description:
Make a difference by volunteering at the MACSC Food Pantry! The food pantry serves individuals and families facing food insecurity, providing them with essential groceries and support. We need dedicated volunteers to help with various tasks, including sorting food, stocking shelves, and distributing food.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Help sort & organize food donations on shelves & check expirations
- Assist with large deliveries, pre-pack food boxes & meat bags
- Assist in distributing pre-packed food boxes
- Help clean food pantry, food fridge and ensure that all food items are properly stored and organized for easy distribution.
Volunteer Hours Available:
- Tuesdays: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
