Project:
The Salvation Army of Saratoga Springs Soup Kitchen is the only organization that consistently provides breakfast to the homeless population of Saratoga Springs. Every weekday morning, we offer a hot, nutritious breakfast and additional cold and grab-and-go options. The breakfast program also includes showers, laundry, clothing, and connection to wrap-around services through case management.
Tasks:
- Assist with set-up for our breakfast service.
- Serve breakfast and coffee to our clients.
- Help meet the food-related needs of our clients during our breakfast service.
- Assist in cleanup after our service has ended.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Even temperament and ability to work well with clients.
- Ability to uphold sanitation standards when handling food.
- Good time management and reliable transportation.
Schedule:
8:00 am to 10:00 am Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed for each day. Volunteer may sign up for a single day, or on a reoccurring schedule.
