

Who We Are
The Pine Hollow Arboretum's mission is to preserve, manage and enhance native and introduced species of trees, shrubs and other plants in a natural and aesthetic environment. The Arboretum’s horticultural collection highlights the diversity of the world’s forests over 22 acres of land featuring 11 ponds and a vast trail network. Nestled in the historic hamlet of Slingerlands, just minutes from Albany, The Pine Hollow Arboretum offers an unique setting for all to connect with Nature, free of charge, 365 days a year.
What We Do
We are a public arboretum that has a horticultural collection of over 3,600 specimens. Our living collection is arranged on 22 acres of land in the heart of the Capital Region. Pine Hollow has 11 ponds and a network of walking trails that are free and open to the public 365 days a year. Additionally, Pine Hollow provides hands-on environmental education opportunities for students in 3 local school districts.
