Schoharie County Community Action Program

Schoharie County Community Action Program's (SCCAP) mission is to build stronger, healthier communities and empower families that experience economic and social challenges. SCCAP provides a wrap-around support system for those it serves with in-house supports and referrals to partnering organizations. Our focus is on stabilization, support and long-term family success.

Services offered include: emergency assistance; food pantry; tax return preparation; application assistance with HEAP & SNAP; employment training, computer skills workshops and financial literacy; child care assistance for parents & day care providers; WIC and breastfeeding peer support; Weatherization Assistance Program; Supervised Visitation; youth development programs; family support: advocacy, parenting, skill-building, anger management, peer support, and systems navigation.
