Who We Are

Welcome to Albany County Parks & Recreation!

Our mission is to offer a variety of recreation programs and opportunities designed to enhance the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being of the Albany County Community. By fostering these skills, we aim to enrich the quality of life for all residents, making Albany County an exceptional place to live, work, and play.

What We Do

We are proud to offer free programs to all Albany County residents. Our offerings include sports, creative arts, outdoor education, martial arts, and after-school activities. Some of our popular programs include chess club, flag football, taekwondo, and much more!

In addition to our programs, we manage two beautiful parks - Lawson Lake County Park and Ann Lee Pond Nature & Historic Preserve. We also maintain the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, a scenic waking, running, and biking trail that stretches from Voorheesville to Albany, NY.
