Who We Are

John Boyd Thacher State Park is located in the greater Capital Region. The park is home to limestone cliff-face, rock-strewn slopes, woodland and open fields, the park provides a marvelous panorama of the Hudson-Mohawk Valleys and the Adirondack and Green Mountains. This natural wounder is for all people to enjoy, please come visit!

John Boyd Thacher State Park is natural treasure that is home to educational, recreational, and volunteer opportunities for induvial patrons, school groups, and community organizations. Come visit Thacher Park and become a local park steward.
