Volunteer: Help Boost Morale for the Center!I have a special project for one volunteer which involves creating a bulletin board and messages to inspire staff and keep morale up. I already have the design, I just need someone to do it.
SAFETY OF VOLUNTEERS: We have restricted access to our building to the rear entrance only and are screening anyone entering the building, including taking temperatures, before they are allowed inside. We have protocols in place for assisting anyone who has an indication they may be ill, including a “safe zone” for them to wait for assistance away from others and outside of the building. We are greatly reducing the traffic in the building by: Accepting deliveries outside of the building whenever possible Encouraging members to pick up their meals outside using our new “Grab ‘N Go” meal services rather than sit-down inside. Any items that need to be picked up by members, such as paperwork, food cards or pet food, are given to the member outside of the building Any members who are ill will have their meals delivered and set outside of their residence to allow for proper distancing. Non-essential staff will be working remotely if they are not already We are cleaning and disinfecting all spaces at least once per day and common spaces more often. We are encouraging handwashing and other NYSDOH and CDC best practices for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We have several washrooms throughout the building for handwashing and hand sanitizer is available. We are not using masks as this has not been recommended. We are practicing social distancing and have arranged our sit-down living room/dining room to allow for this.Agency: Albany Damien Center I have a special project for one volunteer which involves creating a bulletin board and messages to inspire staff and keep morale up.
