Volunteer with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!
United Way of the Greater Capital Region will help train all volunteers and provide necessary support. Volunteers will help bring the joy of reading to children by assisting at community events—setting up tables, sharing information with families, and helping parents enroll their little ones to receive free books each month. Flexible opportunities available; join us in inspiring a love of books from birth to age five!

Volunteers Needed at Upcoming Events on Saturday, September 27th 

Community Action Fair at Troy Waterfront Farmers Market  273 River St Troy 9AM-2PMMississippi Day with South End Children’s Cafe Lincoln Park 11AM-6PM

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up and organizing tables at community events.

Represent United Way of the Greater Capital Region and its official partner organization the Imagination Library at local events, engaging with families and answering questions.

Help families enroll their children in the program by providing information and enrollment support.

Qualifications

Friendly, and passionate about early childhood literacy.

Comfortable speaking with individuals and families at community events.

Able to lift light materials (such as books and display items) for event setup.

Time Commitment
Volunteers can sign up for dates and shifts that fit their availability.

Impact
By volunteering, you’ll help inspire a love of reading in young children and support families in accessing free, high-quality books that foster learning and imagination.
