Volunteer: Kosher Home Delivered MealsJewish Family Services delivers kosher meals to seniors who are no longer able to cook for themselves. We deliver in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Saratoga Counties. Most routes have between 4 and 7 stops and can be completed in 1.25 hours or less. All meals are delivered hot, so must be delivered immediately following pick up from the Albany JCC on Whitehall Road to maintain the correct temperature. We are currently seeking volunteers who are willing to deliver to Schenectady County, Town of Colonie and Troy. Must have your own vehicle and able to drive. Volunteer: Help Feed Someone in Need!This volunteer opportunity entails picking up Kosher meals from the Colonie Price Chopper's Kosher Deli Department (1892 Central Ave. Albany NY 12205) and delivering to 2 individuals. One person lives in Latham and the other lives in Troy near the Brunswick border. Must be able to drive, GPS is helpful, although not necessary. Must be able to climb a short uneven set of steps. These are both private residences, no apartment buidlings! Stay socially distant.
