Expired

Description

ALBANY PAL MISSION:

The Albany Police Athletic League's work within the community began in 1988, with the simple goal of creating a community bond between the youth and law enforcement of Albany. Since 1988, we have cultivated strong and resilient relationships between the law enforcement community and the youngest generations of Albany.

Today, the Albany Police Athletic League brings together kids, cops and community through a variety of after-school activities, summer camps, clubs, and sports programs. Through these partnerships, we hope to develop strong leaders who think critically, work hard, and act compassionately. We serve approximately 2,000 Albany youth every year, and continue to grow every day.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Albany Police Athletic League, Inc. is looking for volunteers to act as coaches and assistant coaches Saturday’s 11 -12:30 and 1-3, Tuesdays 6 - 7:30 and Wednesday 6 -8 starting July 11 and running into the Fall. Below are the shifts for July.

Volunteers would have the opportunity to sign-up for both age groups across all three days or as many sessions as they were able. Volunteers do not need extensive knowledge of Baseball, but volunteers with a background in it or experience playing are very much needed. The program will be conducted at the Albany PAL sports complex at 100 Krank St. At the intersection of First Ave.

Respond to this need and email Joslen at Volunteer@albanypal.org to coordinate your schedule.
