Unity House is unable to do their camp this summer so in its place we are handing out weekly summer fun bags that are filled with some creative activities and snacks to help get school aged kids through the week for 6 weeks. We need one helper (possibly 2 if you want to work with your bestie, family member or co-worker).
This opportunity involves sitting at an outdoor table with these pre-filled bags at our main Unity House Front Door Building. People will be there for an outdoor pick up of food pantry and/or lunch from our Community Meal.
The timing is about 11:15am-1:15pm, there will be 50 bags given out each Monday for 6 weeks tentatively starting 7/27 (dates listed below). As parents/guardians pick up the bags contact free) the volunteer will be marking off a short checklist for each family.
All volunteers are asked to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and will need to fill out a brief Covid-19 checklist immediately upon arrival. The Unity House Volunteer Coordinator will send you needed paperwork. There will be a staff person there to greet you with materials for minimal set up and clean up, there will be a tent to work under with a table and chair(s) for the volunteer.
