Join us to mend donated children’s books and restore the magic of reading! The RED Bookshelf takes donations of gently used children's books. Working with volunteers from throughout our community, we recondition these books, making them look special and appealing to children. Research consistently shows a direct correlation between the number of books in the home, and literacy proficiency. Our goal is to give all children access to owning books. These books will then be given out to children at Union's Community Carnival and other community events.
