Anti-Human Trafficking Program Internship
Interns at The Salvation Army in Saratoga Springs receive a wide variety of experiences as our program serves a unique group of individuals that require a high level of trauma informed care. The Intern would shadow the program supervisor for the Fight for Freedom anti-human trafficking program.
Fight for Freedom Program:
A Fight for Freedom Case Manager works as a team with the client and other service providers to help receive the care and services requested by the victims/survivors. Case managers work with clients to develop a client centered case plan and work with a clinician to address the complex trauma they have endured. Fight for Freedom also hosts awareness events live and via social media campaign, outreach and conducts trainings tailored to any requesting agency/community member.
Intern Duties:
- Conduct a social media campaign across multiple platforms to spread awareness throughout the community
- Support staff in helping victims reach their goals on their case plans
- Coordinate educational activities for at-risk youth
- Conduct passive outreach as identified
- Assist in any event planning
- Connect with local agencies for awareness
- Support any identified at-risk youth through mentorship
- Report data for all services provided
