The Rensselaer Volunteer Admins Network (R-VAN), in collaboration with United Way of the Greater Capital Region and Russell Sage College, is hosting its inaugural Community Action Fair on September 27 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market. Representatives from over a dozen nonprofit organizations will inform attendees of the various ways to get involved with a diverse range of local communities.
Volunteering is a rewarding way to give back to local communities, but finding the right opportunity can sometimes be a challenge. The Community Action Fair will be the perfect place for attendees to discover meaningful volunteer opportunities that align with their passions and skills. R-VAN experts will be available to guide visitors, offering insight into local organizations and help them explore different options.
The event will take place at the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market, a popular venue that attracts over 10,000 visitors each week. Tables will be set up at 273 River Street (between NoFun and T&J Handcrafted Soap). Attendees can easily explore the fair while also enjoying the market’s local vendors.
Join us and find the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community!
