miSci is a dynamic destination located in downtown Schenectady, just a short drive from Albany, Saratoga, and Troy. miSci celebrates science, invention, and imagination through its interactive exhibits, programs and the region's only planetarium. The Museum's archives preserves the area's rich technological heritage, especially the history of electricity and electronics.
What We Do
At miSci, all of our exhibits, programs, and events are designed with our mission in mind: to inspire people to celebrate and explore science and technology, past present, and future. miSci hosts more than six thousand school children each year for educational field trips, presents workshops and demonstrations on the weekends and during school breaks, and performs outreach programs at schools, libraries and community events.
