Who We Are
The American Diabetes Association helps those living with pre-diabetes, type 1, type 2 and gestational live better lives through resources, education, advocacy and research efforts. Through free resources such as the Food Hub, Living with Type 2, our Youth and Family events in the counties across the Capital Region, and our signature event, the Tour de Cure we are helping educate, inform advocate and bring awareness to this epidemic.
What We Do
Over 30 million Americans are living with diabetes, 84 million people are living with prediabetes and 90% don’t even know it, and every 21 seconds someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with diabetes. This isn’t a problem. It’s an EPIDEMIC. We are committed for life to helping those living with this disease thrive. We need you to join us to drive change and make a big impact for our diabetes community. We can’t do this alone.
